‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Logline Revealed

2 min read

Through a couple of sites, as reported by MTV Splash Page, it appears that the ultra basic logline that’s used to go over the very basics of what a feature is about on various sheets, forms and so forth in Hollywood has surfaced for the actively being developed Guardians of the Galaxy. The feature is set for an August 2014 release from Marvel Studios, distributed by Disney, and will be a big part of the second phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Comic fans know all about it, but how are they selling it?

About a U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.

Sounds like Farscape….

Speculation can now run about the pilot, whether it’ll be Peter Quille or Vance Astrovik, and the potential each of those brings. What we can glean from this simple logline though is that the feature will more than likely be told from said pilot’s point of view as he hooks up with the group and they end up on the run together with what’s going on. And with everyone hunting them, what could they have? Keeping the Cosmic Cube in play certainly sounds decent, though I wouldn’t be surprised if something else is brought up that could have a bigger impact on the larger MCU.
