‘Finding Nemo’ Sequel Coming From Andrew Stanton

1 min read

Andrew Stanton made his first foray into live action with John Carter, but that’s certainly had its share of issues even as people realize that there was a very good movie in there after the home video release arrived. While Stanton isn’t exactly on the outs with Disney, he’s going back to what he knows as there’s word out of Deadline that he’s officially coming on board with Pixar again to direct a sequel to Finding Nemo that the studio folks are adoring. Deadline also indicates that this will be his path back to getting in front of a live action camera again as well as this sequel is essentially a way to print money for the studio.

Stanton’s first film for this brought in $868 million and there’s a 3D incarnation coming in September, so bringing out news anytime this year about it near there will help rekindle interest and to help him push John Carter to the back burner.
