Crunchyroll dipped outside of the simulcast pool a bit today to add a new series to their service with anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day. The series is a part of the noitaminA block and it originally aired in the spring of 2011. A-1 Pictures is behind the production and at this time Crunchyroll does not have a set release date yet, but all eleven episodes will be available for Crunchyroll premium members when it is set, and free uses will get the first four episodes. The series is being released later this year from NIS America on home video.
Plot Concept: Jinta Yadomi and his group of childhood friends have become estranged after a tragic accident split them apart. Now in their high school years, a sudden surprise forces each of them to confront their guilt over what happened that day and come to terms with the ghosts of their past.
