With the US release of Puella Magi Madoka Magica finishing up in just a couple of weeks, Manga Entertainment UK took to Twitter today to announce that they will be releasing the series in the UK later this year. The series is getting both a DVD and Blu-ray release and through the tweets, it looks like the release will be very different from the US one in that it’s all regular edition material in one set and probably none of the elaborate bonus items that were available for that release. Details are slight at the moment and according to the representative, preorders for it won’t begin until July.
I’m happy to confirm we will release Madoka Magica onw 3 disc DVD and Blu-ray on 22-Oct. DVD is £29.99 RRP and BD is £39.99.

Yep, u read it right. We are releasing the entire first season as a 3 disc BD box set. It’ll be packaged in standard BD case.
