The fight on board the airship takes some deadly turns…

What They Say:
During their first few minutes in Tamia, Annelotte and Yuit experience a sense of déjà vu from the Dine-and-Dash Duo. It turns out they are also looking for Captain Liliana, the pirate captain stole the Sacred Vessel from Shai-Fang and they can’t return until they get it back.

The Review:
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
With Annelotte and her friends off on a new journey after the arrival of the air pirate captain in the previous episode that swooped in at the end, Liliana, they’ve arrived the city of Tamia to try and find them. They group is one that doesn’t have an easy time of things in general, often getting caught up in events quickly, but they sort of luck out from the start here as they end up at a place and time where Liliana and her crew are doing another job and have brought a lot of goods on board, which included them in hiding. It’s a kind of silly move overall with how it unfolds since they’re not exactly expert sneak thieves, but it does get them onto her ship.

And the ship is interesting to be sure with its undead style crew that has a love of goods that are made of real people. We haven’t seen much of Liliana and her crew since the first episode so getting a bit more here with the undead crew that’s pretty active is fun, especially once things just go all out, it gets pretty silly with everyone running around the ship, facing the skeletons while also finding that their allies aren’t always on the same side. It’s made even worse since Yuit lost her companion to Liliana’s control, something that is definitely eating her in a big way. It’s silly, fun and even has a bath scene mixed into it to good effect.

While past episodes have had some action to it, they often spent a lot of time just doing some silly stuff or conversations as well. Here, the episode is more focused on the action, including lots of running away, so it feels more active and busier than usual. It’s definitely a plus since there are so many characters on board the ship, several with their own plans as well, which cusaes things to get pretty convoluted and crazy at times. There’s also a good dose of nudity and sexuality as should be expected as LunaLuna is working her own path to get back to Annelotte which leads her to doing some very intriguing dances that continues to showcase her darker side. It’s something that has its own meaning to it as well with the good that it does, but it’s the sexuality of it that’s obviously the draw.

In Summary:
Bringing Liliana back into play after being absent since the first episode is welcome since she was definitely one of the more flamboyant and interesting new characters. Her running into Annelotte and the rest is something that isn’t going to work out well for her though since they’re playing against bigger forces than her and just by crossing with them has landed her in more trouble. But like any good pirate, she has her own fun way of getting out of things and going along in life. There’s a certain lightness to the series in general and this episode is no exception when you get down to it. There’s plenty of fun and action here as it romps through the adventure while also making sure the fanservice side is as high as it has been. Something that Lunaluna is able to do easily.
