Toonami Adds ‘Deadman Wonderland’ & ‘Casshern Sins’

2 min read

After the teases before that were testing some of the water about bringing back the Toonami block on Cartoon Network and its recently slated date of May 27th for it to be a part of the overnight Adult Swim block, anime is about to blossom on a popular cable network again. While we’ve seen that some familiar shows would be back like Bleach, Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2nd GIG, there were also some hopeful additions to make their way in that weren’t a part of it before. And it looks like FUNimation is the company to make the first round of progress here as they’ve got Deadman Wonderland and Casshern Sins set for 12:30 and 1:00 am broadcasts with repeats later in the morning when the whole block rolls over again.

While Deadman Wonderland received a simulcast and is planned for a home video release, it has not had any information on its dub released at this point, marking the broadcast as the first exposure for fans to how the English language adaptation and casting went on it.

12:00 a.m. – Bleach
12:30 a.m. – Deadman Wonderland
1:00 a.m. – Casshern Sins
1:30 a.m. – Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2:00 a.m. – Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG
2:30 a.m. – Cowboy Bebop

The schedule then repeats what aired until 6:00 AM
