Questioning Fandom: Who Are You?

2 min read

We’re going to play things a little differently here than usual with something that’s simple and exactly what’s needed on a Friday where you’ve got a huge weekend of fun ahead of you. While trolling through Tumblr and all the various memes and things that come up, one that sounded fun was simply this;

The last movie you saw is now your life. Who are you in it? We’ll expand that so you can include comic, TV series or novel as well.

I was going to say for the film, it’d be the guy playing Galaga on the Helicarrier, but someone else said that when I first proposed this. Harumph. Having just seen Avengers for the second time, I’ll go for Captain America as there’s something old fashioned and interesting about him that I’d want to experience the world through.

For TV series, I just polished off the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood OVAs so I’m going to have to go with Roy Mustang there, especially since it’s not the same kind of roughness received as within the previous TV series.

For the book world, I definitely have to go with the recently finished The Reality Dysfunction where I’d love to play Joshua Calvert, space captain dealing with a universe in which the dead come back.

So what about you? With what you’ve just finished, if that was the life you were living, who would you be?
