Right Stuf Participates In Compassionate Journeys Philanthropy

2 min read

The folks at Right Stuf have introduced a new way to make it easier for fans to help out with important charity projects and compassion while also ensuring that their own orders for anime, manga and related goods can be filled out in a positive way. They’ve now introduced a new program to allow fans to join them in supporting Compassionate Journeys, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that supports those who work to rescue and empower trafficked children in Ghana, West Africa. Please consider joining us as we support this very worthwhile cause.

Donations are in $1 increments.  Simply change the quantity to the number of dollars you would like to donate to this cause. And where it helps fans with their orders is that donations do count towards free shipping. Often people look for one or two dollar items to toss in because it’s worthwhile to get the free shipping. Now you can avoid the item you may have no interest in and do something positive instead.

All purchases of this will receive a receipt for your tax records purposes with your order.

About Melor Vinyewo
Melor Vinyewo (“I Love All of My Children”) is a project to rescue and empower child slaves. Compassionate Journeys is building a home and community development center for child slaves who are working on and around Lake Volta. They have been sold by their parents (usually single mothers) and are beaten, starved, neglected and abused, and forced to work long, hard hours in dangerous conditions. Most are sick with malaria, cholera, and other health issues from their poor living conditions, and many die from illness, drowning or other work-related accidents.

Compassionate Journeys is also creating sustainable agricultural projects so that the program won’t need to rely on donations in the future. The projects will involve out-farming, teaching widows and single mothers sustainable farming practices, and providing a market for their goods. Other endeavors include a medical clinic in Tafi Atome (the village where the children will be living), a computer learning center next to the junior high school, a library, and a cultural arts center.

How You Can Help
For each donation, Right Stuf will foot the bill for the processing fees and paperwork. The entirety of your gift is passed along to Compassionate Journeys and its efforts. Donations are tax deductible. There is no minimum or limit on the number of donations you can make, but as a special thank you, fans who donate $20 or more will receive an “End Child Slavery” wristband.
