2 min read

With the spring 2012 anime season fully underway at this point, it’s no surprise that more and more promos and tidbits will land about the summer season. A new one has come through today that brings a new 90 second promo of the AIC A.S.T.A. animated series Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita, which is based off of the light novels by Romeo Tanaka that began in 2007 and have six volumes to date. The series also has a manga series that kicked off in January in anticipation of the anime show to help provide some cross promotion and audience building. The new series will be directed by Seiji Kishi who is known for such works as Yugo the Negotiator, Persona 4: The Animation, Kamisama Dolls and Angel Beats! along with several other comedy oriented series such as Magikano and My Bride is a Mermaid.

Plot Concept: The story is set several centuries into the slow decline of mankind. Earth has now become the realm of “fairies” – 10-centimeter / 4-inch tall creatures with remarkable intelligence and an appetite for sweets. The human protagonist of the story serves an important duty as the international arbitrator between the fairies and humans, and she returns to her former hometown of Kusunoki. She chose this job because she thought it was an easy job she can do, even when she is as old as her grandfather. However, she learns that her job is anything but simple when she meets the fairies.
