First ‘Code Geass: Akito The Exiled’ OVA Gets Japanese Release Date

1 min read

Considering the ongoing popularity of the Code Geass property in Japan, it’s surprising more things like this aren’t done, with this or with other properties. With the recent announcement about the new Code Geass: Akito the Exiled OVA series being produced in similar fashion to the Gundam UC releases, the first volume has now gotten an official release date of August 4th. The plan is to produce the four OVAs that will run fifty minutes each to one each season, so summer, fall, winter and spring of 2012 and 2013. The episodes will also receive the similar treatment to some other OVA releases in that it will get a limited theatrical debut as well, often with a single night even or a couple of days, prior to its release in Japan.

The most recent trailer is available here in higher quality form, but you can see a lower quality one below.
