After a lot of wrangling in the last few months over the budget and the future of the production itself, things have gotten underway for the May 31st, 2013 release of The Lone Ranger, which will star Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer along with om Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson, and Helena Bonham Carter. The first image from the Gore Verbinski directed film has come out that puts the two leads together in their full costumes, giving us our first idea of what the final product will look like in terms of design.
Plot Concept: The famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
