Viz Media Details ‘The Earl & The Fairy’ Shoujo Beat Manga Series

Viz Media is getting a little more out there for manga fans to know about a series that’s debuting next week called The Earl & The Fairy, which they give a tagline of “A Fairy Doctor Who Sees Magical Creatures Helps An Aristocrat Search For A Legendary Sword And Hunt A Mysterious Killer” The new series under the Shoujo Beat banner is coming on March 6th and is written by Mizue Tami with artwork by Ayuko, going for the standard pricing of  $9.99 with a teen rating.

Mizeu Tami is no stranger to manga as she was behind The Witches Marriage but she’s also written several fantasy novel series and was up for a few awards. Ayuko has a few titles under their belt as well, getting their start with Us, You and Me in Bessatu Margaret.

“Author Mizue Tani originally wrote THE EARL AND THE FAIRY as a popular collection of light novels, and the story has been captivatingly adapted into a manga series with beautiful artwork created by Ayuko,” says Pancha Diaz, Editor. “Intrigue awaits readers as the Earl tells Lydia that he is the descendant of the Blue Knight. But a serial killer is also on the loose, and Edgar matches his description. Could this charismatic aristocrat really be a murderer?”

Plot Concept: Lydia Carlton is a fairy doctor and one of the few people with the ability to see the magical creatures who share our world.
