‘Frankenweenie’ Trailer Debuts

1 min read

The movie doesn’t land until October 5th, but the first trailer has arrived for Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie. The work is one that is based off of a live action piece Burton did back in the 80’s in short film form so there’s a bit of catch up there before it goes into how he’s expanding the concept. The film will feature the voices of Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, and Martin Landau.

Plot Concept: From creative genius Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” The Nightmare Before Christmas”) comes “Frankenweenie,” a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
