Under the category of “it bloody well took long enough”, the Indiana Jones trilogy (plus some unrelated fourth movie /snark) will be coming to Blu-ray this year with an undetermined “Fall 2012” release plan. No details about the release and what it will entail in any real measurable way, but it will be the series in high definition and lossless audio, which is all the fans have wanted for several years now. So start piling away the pennies to make the swap, especially if we do see some interesting collector’s editions to get the fans to buy big. Expect this to be one of the big sellers in the “classics” department of the Christmas 2012 season.
