‘Dr. Slump’ Anime Gets French DVD Release

While Viz Media brought out the entire 18 volumes manga run of Akira Toriyama’s Dr. Slump, the anime itself has proven elusive which in some ways is surprising since you’d be able to draw in some of the Dragon Ball fans with it to some degree. But with 243 episodes to its name in the original run and a 74 episode remake that ran in the late 90’s, it’s also not too surprising that companies aren’t leaping for it. So, enter Kazé France, who now has Season 1 lined up for release in its original language of Japanese as well as a French dub with French subtitles.  The set is also already listed on Amazon France where it lists a 675 minute run time for the season and goes for just over 40 euros. The set contains the first 27 episodes that were done using the original dub when it aired in France originally ages ao.
