‘RED’ Sequel Gains Director With Dean Parisot

1 min read

After the original movie based on the comic landed in 2010 with a budget of $58 million and bringing in $200 million internationally while showing some very strong legs over the course of its run, Summit is getting closer to getting a sequel into production about the “Retired, Extremely Dangerous” crowd of former CIA agents. The original film was directed by Robert Schwentke and starred Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren as the former agents now in retirement that get brought back into things. Summit is in final negotiations now with Dean Parisot to direct the sequel with everyone in the cast expected to return though nothing has been sealed with it yet. Parisot only hsa a few movies under his belt but there are some good ones that show that he’d be the right one for it, such as Galaxy Quest and Fun with dick and Jane.
