There are a lot of movies I’m looking forward to in 2012, but one that has me just kind of giddy in a quirky sort of way is the June 22nd release of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. What more needs to be said about the film than the title? The feature has been in production a bit and the first teaser trailer has arrived with narration by none other than Johnny Cash as he reads Revelations 6:1, which is just hilarious when you get down to it. The film stars Benjamin Walker, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Alan Tudyk, Jimmi Simpson, and Rufus Sewell.
Plot concept: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of our greatest President, and the untold story that shaped our nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the blood-thirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.
