Second Season Of ‘Heaven’s Lost Property’ Gets Downgrade

1 min read

Well here’s a piece of unfortunate news for fans of Heaven’s Lost Property. The first season just landed in December and the second season is due out on March 20th, 2012 and it’s been revealed that the series is being downgraded from a DVD/BD release to just a DVD release. The Blu-ray portion is what we reviewed and it was a great looking show that really stood out in high definition. No reason was given for the downgrade, which also includes a price drop to $64.98, but it’s likely that the first season just didn’t move the numbers needed to justify the expense of the second season in high definition. It’s still expected to be released as a limited edition set according to the retail information available, just without the Blu-ray element.

Does this change your intention to purchase?

  1. I canceled my order.

I don’t have a problem buying season 1 DVD only and buying season 2 in a combo pack (Spice and Wolf, Sekirei, Darker Than Black). That’s mainly because season 1 was made during the SD days, while season 2 was made in the HD days. However, for some reason going the other way around really bothers me for some reason.
