Michael Bay Set For ‘Transformers 4’ Duties?

1 min read

Though you could almost feel it was said with a nod and a wink, Michael Bay was pretty clear during Transformers 3 that it was the end of his run on it. While people had issues and love for the trilogy, there was some hope about what changes a new director could bring to the table and curiosity to see where it would go. Considering the third feature made $1.1 billion dollars in box office receipts alone, it was a no brainer that Paramount would do a fourth installment. And considering the pressure of the third, it’s easy to imagine that Bay wouldn’t want to come back to try and top it.

Yet, now it appears that he’s more game than he was before after some time away from it. He’s close to finalizing a new deal with Paramount that has him coming back for a fourth installment after he works on a much smaller picture, Pain and Gain, which is one of those films that he’s wanted to do for over a decade now.
