With it taking a bit longer than expected to get Star Trek‘s sequel off the ground, which will move a bit quicker now that J.J. Abrams has confirmed he’s coming on board with it, that’s getting questions thrown the way of the stars of the 2009 release about what they know about it. And since there isn’t a script out there yet, there isn’t a lot to say but that doesn’t stop anyone as Access Hollywood pinged Uhura actress Zoe Saldana about it, and about co-star Zachary Quinto as Spock.
“I know it’s gonna be amazing,” she said. “We still haven’t gotten a script yet,” she said of progress on the film, which Access confirmed will begin shooting in mid-January, and won’t be called “Star Trek 2.” “We’re very excited to read it and get back into space.”
