‘Micronauts’ Gets First Round Writers

1 min read

After the initial word came out about potentially developing the Hasbro property Micronauts for the big screen, more has come out now as the pair of writers behind Zombieland, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, are working on the treatment for J.J. Abrams for Paramount. With it falling under the Abram’s Bad Robot umbrella, it’s another classic property that Paramount is developing along with the in-production sequel for G.I. Joe as well as hopes for a fourth and fifth Transformers movie, which already has the rumors swirling about attempts to get Michael Bay back but bring in Jason Statham to lead. Wernick and Reese gained a lot of offers after their work on Zombieland and have completed a script that’s set to go for Ryan Reynolds with Deadpool as well as adapting the comic series Cowboy Ninja Viking which is set up over at Disney.
