While today is the launch of the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE series, it’s not quite what some were lead to believe it would be like. With Nikkei reporting that the series would be getting streamined online in five languages, including English, the same time as it’s broadcast, it appears that it’s not actually meant for worldwide consumption. To be fair, the language list outside of English is definitely all Asian aimed, as unlike some of their full on worldwide releases, it’s missing some of the usual languages like French. Unless a switch wasn’t set, because the stream is not available to US IP addresses at this point and seems squarely aimed at Southeast Asian territories instead where English is read and spoken. At this point it seems that the only main English speaking country it’s working for is Australia.
