First Promo For ‘Twixt’ Debuts

2 min read

After a variety of different cuts of the trailer for Twixt showing at the San Diego Comic-Con, a new cut of it has landed on the internet today that runs nearly four minutes and shows off the style of the film pretty well. Normally this isn’t a film that would get a lot of coverage here, but with the material at hand and those involved, with Francis Ford Coppola directing and starring Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern, Elle Fanning, and Ben Chaplin, we can’t help but to be really curious about it as it unfolds here. Check out the trailer below to see what Francis Ford Coppola has in store in a film that feels very different from most of his works.

Plot summary: A writer with a career in decline arrives in a small town as part of his book tour and gets caught up in a murder mystery involving a young girl. That night in a dream, he is approached by a mysterious young ghost named V. He’s unsure of her connection to the murder in the town, but is grateful for the story being handed to him. Ultimately he is led to the truth of the story, surprised to find that the ending has more to do with his own life than he could ever have anticipated.
