Kevin Bacon had a whole lot of fun filming X-Men: First Class for a lot of reasons and he’s dipping his toes back into the comic book adaptation world again by joining Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges on R.I.P.D. which comes from the Dark Hose Comics series of the same name. The role that he’s circling is unknown, but fans of the series know there are a couple of potential things that he could take on in it to play a proper bad guy, either in a smaller way or a big way. And we know one guy, clip below, that will be supremely enthused by this news.
Plot concept: “R.I.P.D.” centers on the afterlife adventures of Nick Cruz (Reynolds), a cop who was gunned down in the line of duty. Determined to find and punish his killer, Nick signs up with the Rest in Peace Department, where he patrols the afterlife with his partner, a long dead gunslinger. (Bridges, of course.) But Cruz’s hunt for his killer will take him into some dark and dangerous place. Apparently, even when you’re dead, Hell is still a rough neighborhood.
