DC Comics Strikes Toy Deal With LEGO

1 min read

Prepare to spend more money.

DC Comics has expanded on their relationship with the people at LEGO by opening up access to their library of characters and destinations, which will allow the LEGO folks to build playsets and a wave of figures for 2012. The first part of the multi-year deal will have the company releasing a series of thirteen character figures in January with all the big names such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern, as well as some of the villains like the Joker, Bane, Harley Quin and Lex Luthor. Following that, they’ll be releasing playsets to build where these characters inhabit. LEGO is intending to show off the first figures at Comic-Con this week as well as giving away some 3,000 minifigures to be used in a contest.
