DC Comics is definitely doing something interesting with their relaunch titles, and while it may be pricey pre-discounts, it could make for an interesting way to get some collectors back into the game come Christmas season. On December 7th, the company will be releasing a new single hardcover collection that will total some 1200 pages that will include all the 52 launch issues coming out in September from the publisher as part of their relaunch. It’s getting priced at $150, which is a few bucks cheaper than buying the singles at cover price (and yes, there are local comic shops that don’t even offer subscriber discounts, such as mine) so picking this bad boy up on Amazon may come in handy if you wanted a way to sample everything in one tome and really decide which books you want to check out. And considering it comes after the first three months of books are out, it’ll give you a good idea of where they’re going.
This September, DC Entertainment is making history by launching 52 #1 DC Comics issues starring the World’s Greatest Super-Heroes. To commemorate this milestone occasion, DC Entertainment will be releasing DC COMICS: THE NEW 52, a massive hardcover collection that collects every single one of these debut issues. Hitting stores on December 7th just in time for the holiday season, this 1,216-page compilation will sell for $150.00 and include such issues as:
• JUSTICE LEAGUE #1 by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee
• ACTION COMICS #1 by Grant Morrison and Rags Morales
• BATMAN #1 by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo
• GREEN LANTERN #1 by Geoff Johns and Doug Mahnke
• SWAMP THING #1 by Scott Snyder and Yanick Paquette
• STORMWATCH #1 by Paul Cornell and Miguel Sepulveda
• TEEN TITANS #1 by Scott Lobdell and Brett Booth
• And 45 more!
at what point do comic fans rebel and stop buying this reboot crap?!
