Everett, Washington – July 15, 2011- GameSamba, Inc and FUNimation® Entertainment are proud to announce a multi-faceted promotional partnership to cross promote their online gaming and anime titles to each other’s audiences.

“Working with FUNimation is a dream come true,” said Scott Wong, CEO of GameSamba. “Many of the games that we’ve loved over the years have connections to anime. Some of our upcoming games also have a strong anime-influence to them. We think that there is good synergy between our player base and anime fans, so this certainly will be an exciting partnership with many promotional, marketing and merchandising possibilities.”

“This collaborative relationship will bridge our online gaming and anime worlds and will broaden the brand awareness of both GameSamba and FUNimation titles,” said Gen Fukunaga, CEO of FUNimation Entertainment. “This is a great opportunity to create an integrated program and stay on the forefront in the convergence of many media and entertainment types.”

FUNimation will be featuring GameSamba’s games at all of its live domestic events throughout the summer, including promotions at its booth on the show floor of Comic-Con International: the pop culture mecca held each summer in San Diego.

The partnership will later include a GameSamba presence on FUNimation’s newly revamped website, www.funimation.com, shared social media communications, select broadcast opportunities, and additional advertising within home entertainment releases.

GameSamba has recently launched Realms Online, a free-to-play realm vs. realm PVP-focused MMORPG created by NGD Studios. In addition, this summer two more titles are set to release. This month GameSamba will launch Tribal Trouble 2, a whimsical browser-based MMORTS starring chicken-throwing Viking warriors.

Also this summer, GameSamba’s flagship title, the anime-inspired MMORPG Remnant Knights, is due to enter open beta. Created by Min Communications, the game will feature a story by Eisner Award winning Marvel Comics writer Jim Krueger.
