‘Batman: Year One’ Trailer Arrives

2 min read

The trailer for the October 18th, 2011 release of Batman: Year One from the DC Universe animated line of titles has been released and it certainly shows off the animation well and the attempt to capture the style and feel of those original books by Frank Miller, as adapted by co-directors Sam Liu and Lauren Montgomery. This follows up the news yesterday, also via MTV Splash Page, that the release will feature a Catwoman short as well with Eliza Dushku reprising the role that she handles in the main feature on the release.

TV Guide has a piece with Dushku where they ask her her about her relationship to the character she plays. “I found the attitude for this character deep down in the Eliza Dushku archive of bad girls,” she said with a laugh. “They’re in there somehow, somewhere for some reason, and I tap into them when I need them. They’re characters with an edge.”

Batman: Year One stars Benjamin McKenzie as Bruce Wayne, Bryan Cranston as Jim Gordon, Eliza Dushku as Catwoman and Katee Sackhoff as Sarah Essen and will be available October 18, 2011 from Warner Home Video on Blu-ray, DVD, OnDemand and for download.
