Media Blasters has confirmed with Anime News Network that they have acquired not only the first season of Bakuman which ran for twenty-five episodes and ended this past April, but also the second season that’s scheduled to start airing this coming October with another twenty-five episodes. The company announced yesterday that it licensed the property with the intent to release it on bilingual DVDs this fall with the first release containing seven episodes at what is presumed to be a lower price, similar to how Queen’s Blade 2 was broken up into two parts for $24.98 each and were bilingual as well.

makes you wonder how long the manga really is. It looks like media blasters thinks bakuman is going to be the next Genshiken title for them- cant really say i blame them though with the success of deathnote
