First ‘Brave’ Teaser Poster Released

2 min read

Pixar doesn’t have much to offer me this year with just Cars 2 rolling into theaters and the first one was the only Pixar film I actively disliked. That said, if there’s reason to go see it, it’s because there’s supposed to be a teaser trailer attached to it for their 2012 original production of Brave. Gearing up for that teaser trailer, Pixar has unleashed a new promotional poster for the movie that’s due out on June 22nd, 2012. The cast has come together well, with the expected casting of John Ratzenberger as well for good luck, and has solidified with:

  • Kelly Macdonald as Merida
  • Julie Walters as Wise Woman
  • Billy Connolly as King Fergus
  • Emma Thompson as Queen Elinor
  • Kevin McKidd as Lord MacGuffin
  • Craig Ferguson as Lord Macintosh
  • Robbie Coltrane as Lord Dingwall
  • John Ratzenberger

Plot summary: Brave is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus and Queen Elinor. An unruly daughter and an accomplished archer, Merida one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom. In an attempt to set things right, Merida seeks out an eccentric old Wise Woman and is granted an ill-fated wish. Also figuring into Merida’s quest — and serving as comic relief — are the kingdom’s three lords: the enormous Lord MacGuffin, the surly Lord Macintosh, and the disagreeable Lord Dingwall.
