While a lot of attention has been on Night Raid 1931, Sentai Filmworks also slid out a little more cover artwork today, this time for their upcoming complete collection of Samurai Girls that’s due out on August 23rd, 2011. This complete collection is getting a dub right out of the gate and was announced to have one when the show got simulcast on The Anime Network last year. This show proved to be a real surprise in style, animation and character design and had a pretty fun story to go with it as well that rather delighted us.
Sentai’s release on both DVD and Blu-ray has the twelve episode run along with a solid selection of extras that includes Narrated Comics, ‘Blushing Maidens in the Pact’, Japanese Promotional Videos, Japanese TV Promos, Uncensored Production Sketches, Clean Opening & Closing.
Plot Summary: Muneakiru Yagyu is a gifted student of the samurai way, but until he arrived at his dojo, he never knew just how gifted he truly was. There, beautiful girl Jubei falls naked from the sky and right into his arms, and when they kiss, he magically transforms her into a powerful master samurai. So, naturally, every beautiful girl at the dojo can’t wait to kiss him now! And some, like the sexy Gisen, want to do even more… It’s a tale of power and lust, filled with beautiful, scantily clad swordfighters who will do anything to please their master and attain even greater power!
