‘Fairy Tail’ Begins Streaming On FUNimation’s Site

1 min read

FUNimation has begun to get some episodes of Fairy Tail up on their site with the first two now available. The series has been simulcast by Crunchyroll but it has the licensing restriction of keeping only 30 days worth of episodes up at a time,  so on average there are only six episodes available via that service. With the series up to eighty-four episodes as of today, and with twenty-six volumes of the manga by Hiro Mashima out there, it’s not exactly an easy series to jump into since the beginning episodes have been unavailable for viewing legally. FUNimation acquired the rights to the first forty-eight episodes of the A-1 Pictures and Satelight produced series with the first collection due out on Blu-ray in February 2012 in bilingual form.

Plot summary: Lucy wants nothing more than to join Fairy Tail, the most rambunctious wizard’s guild in Fiore. When a phony lures her onto his ship with the promise of getting into the guild of her dreams, her newest friends arrive to bail her out!

Thanks to @dragonpiece for the heads-up!
