Ryan Reynolds certainly gets plenty of questions unrelated to the movies he’s out promoting, which is pretty much par for the course in general but even more so when you’re involved with a few comic book related adaptations. With Green Lantern in heavy press mode at the moment, the very in-demand actor got pinged for a question about the Deadpool project now that it gained a director in Tim Miller. Reynolds, in speaking to MTV News (video clip below), certainly is straightforward about how it’ll have to be in order to achieve the kind of movie he feels is right for the character in staying true to it.
“I love Tim,” Reynolds told MTV News. “Tim is someone who we all vetted through and through. He’s a guy who captures the spirit of it, and he’s also an incredible visual artist.”
“He was also the first guy we met who came up with a huge presentation for it,” he added. “That was something I hope to able to show you at some point.”
“Also, Tim came cheap, which helped as well,” said Reynolds. “In order to do this movie the way we want to do it is pretty nasty, and pretty hard. You can’t exactly have a $200 million budget when you want to do a movie like this.”
