Jeff Bridges Confirmed For ‘R.I.P.D.’

1 min read

The world needs more movies with Jeff Bridges.

Thankfully, it seems like it will as Deadline has confirmed their previous posting back in April that Jeff Bridges was in talks to join the cast of R.I.P.D. after Zach Galifianakis dropped out of the picture due to conflicting schedules with other features he had committed to. The movie from Universal is being helmed by Robert Schwentke who made some good waves with RED last year and has the leading man of Ryan Reynolds attached to it. Bridges will be taking on the partner role in the flick alongside Reynolds.

Plot concept: Welcome to the Rest In Peace Department — the devoted, yet dead, officers of divine law enforcement “patrolling the deadbeat…reporting to one boss.” Yep — THAT boss. Nick Cruz was murdered by an unknown assailent, at the height of his personal and professional life. Now he’s traded a hundred years of service to the R.I.P.D. in exchange for a shot at finding who killed him. Unfortunately his search will take him to Hell and back — literally!
