While formal press releases and details will come during the week, Sentai Filmworks announced a pair of new licenses at Anime Central this weekend. The company has announced that it will be bringing out the TV series MM! as well as Amagami SS, both of which are expected to be out by the end of this year. Based on announcements at Anime Boston and how their schedule works, they could be easily seen coming in September of this year when new solicitations are made. Both shows are expected to be subtitled only and DVD releases, though that can be subject to change easily enough. Unlike other recent shows that have gone to bilingual Blu-ray releases, Sentai Filmworks doesn’t have simulcast data to back up the popularity and interest in the show so they play it a bit more carefully.
Amagami SS is a twenty-six episode series that ran through the second half of 2010 based on the PlayStation 2/PSP games which also spawned several one-off manga releases. The anime version was done by AIC.
