‘Thor’ Grabs $3.25 Million At Midnight Showings

1 min read

While it may not be Twilight or Harry Potter when it comes to midnight showings, especially as it’s not a sequel and is a property that many people aren’t familiar with, Thor brought in $3.25 million for its opening night debut which puts it potentially on track for a very good weekend, as last weekend saw Fast Five have a midnight showing total of $3.8 million and the bringing home a weekend total in the US of $86 million. When Iron Man 2 came out, it had a midnight showing total of $7.5 million with it being a sequel while Dark Knight grabbed $18.5 million for its highly anticipated midnight showing.

  1. Just saw this one and thought it was great. The visuals were fantastic and it was a decent story for an origin peice. There were some great one liners too. Stay for the end credits… You will miss something important if you dont. :))
I give this a solid A. Im glad I already preordered the dvd for THOR and for Captain America as well.
