Bandai Adds ‘StarDriver’ License, Plans ‘Haruhi’ And ‘Gundam 00’ Movies For Blu-ray

Bandai Entertainment announced last weekend that they had acquired the Aniplex series StarDriver for North American release.

The series was animated by Bones, the studio responsible for Cowboy Bebop The Movie, Eureka Seven, Wolf’s Rain, Sword of the Stranger, and many other series.

The story focuses on a remote island where a secret organization plans to reactive giant mobile suits known as Cybodies that can be controlled by pilots known as StarDrivers. A young outsider, Takuto, vows to stop them.

The series is directed by Takuya Igarashi, with character designs by Yoshiyuki Ito and Hiroka and Misa Mizuya.

Also, at Sakura Con this weekend, Bandai Entertainment announced that the previously announced titles The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie and Gundam 00 movie: A Wakening of the Trailblazer would be released on DVD as well as Blu-Ray for North America.
