New ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ Trailer Debuts

2 min read

There’s been a few scattered things here and there in the last few weeks about Transformers: Dark of the Moon, but largely it’s been fairly quiet since the Super Bowl commercials and the first trailer a couple of months ago. With its July 1st release date getting ever closer, the marketing is starting to inch up a bit and this new trailer certainly sets the stage for things. The first trailer offered a lot more promise than people were expecting and caused them to hold judgment a bit more, though their feelings about the second installment still makes them wary of a third. With Michael Bay talking about how he knows that the second wasn’t a great movie, to put it charitably, he’s making promises that this installment will deliver.

Plot summary: When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us. The movie stars Shia LaBeouf, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey, Kevin Dunn, with John Malkovich and Frances McDormand.
