Massive ‘Smallville Complete Series’ DVD Box Set Announced

4 min read

Rejoice, Blu-ray fans, you’re not going to have to shell out a lot of money for this set since it’s DVD only. Smallville draws to a close in just a few weeks so the tenth season releases are on their way, which will be on both formats like past seasons, but Warner Bros. is going to try and draw in folks with a massive ten set collection that has 192 hours worth of Smallville goodness for a list price of $340. Considering the amount of content, it’s sort of not too bad, but if you shop smartly, you can get the individual seasons released previously for $25 on average. This set just brings together all the previous collections into one box and adds some additional goodies to make it more worthwhile as a collectors item though. As Blu-ray fans will know, only the last couple of seasons have been released on the format, so there aren’t any past releases that they can put into a collection like this just yet. Hopefully they’ll actually go back and release those early seasons at some point however.

  1. One would think the BDs would be coming at least before the new Superman movie if not earlier.
