‘Ant-Man’ Second Draft Turned In

2 min read

With Marvel Studios focusing heavily on their tent pole movies, there’s a lot of curiosity as to what they’re going to do with the other plans they have involving lesser known characters, TV plans and so forth. One of the most intriguing is the planned take on the Ant-Man feature with Edgar Wright directing and working on the script alongside Joe Cornish. The movie is set to tie into other things to some degree with the whole shared universe, but his lack of inclusion with The Avengers is admittedly surprising on some level since’s long been a key player in that series. Still, the chance for Marvel to work small budget movies that tie in can draw eyes and keep fans intrigued and guessing which is half the game. The script for this movie is moving slowly since Marvel is obviously focused on bigger fish at the moment, but half of the script writing team dropped some news at the Kapow! Comic Con in London this past weekend saying progress is being made.

“We delivered the second draft of ‘Ant-Man’ two days ago, and we’re really happy with it,” Cornish said.

Check out Ant-Man’s appearance in The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes animated series that that began late last year to get a taste of him if you’re unfamiliar with the character.
