1 min read

Speculation has run rampant since Darren Aronofsky jumped ship with The Wolverine, which when combined with the tragedy unfolding in Japan, made many wonder when the film would get picked up again especially as Fox has a heavy slate for 2012 already. In steps MTV Splash Page, citing an interview with Empire Magazine, the man behind Moon and Source Code is in talks with Fox about taking over the reins for this feature that many are hoping will cement Wolverine properly in the film world.

“Who knows what’ll be coming up next – I have a lot of meetings and catching-up to do when I get back to LA,” explained the director, who later confirmed that one would be with 20th Century Fox about “The Wolverine.”

That’s not the only place Jones is talking about this as he also brought it up at the Kapow! convention in England. “[Wolverine is] more interesting to me than Batman,” he said to IGN. “A good Wolverine film could be an amazing thing.”
