‘Star Trek’ Gets Netflix Watch Instantly Date

1 min read

Prepare for your bandwidth to be throttle this summer and fall, Star Trek fans, as Trek Movie has learned the rollout schedule from Netflix as to when the various series will be available on their Watch Instantly service, which will bring hundreds of episodes of Star Trek series to your Tivo, iPad and other devices.

Netflix entered into an agreement with CBS recently with some shows already rolling out from the deal, but the Star Trek properties have been staggered out a bit by not being in the initial launch group. What Trek Movie has learned is that Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise are all set to go, but with a bit of a layered rollout. TOS, TNG, Voyager and Enterprise will all become available on July 1st. DS9 will launch on October 1st. TOS and Enterprise will be available in HD.

The deal encompasses all the episodes for these series and two of them will have high definition as listed. The deal with Netflix is, of course, USA only and is for two years.

  1. Nice. I have the original series on BD and hope that TNG will get the same for its 25th next year.
