1 min read

According to Moviehole, the in the works sequel for G.I. Joe is moving forward a bit more in advance of principal photography that’s slated to begin in August with a new casting call. The film is planned for theatrical release in August 2012 with John Chu directing, and it’s been stated that most of the characters will not return, though Channing Tatum will be back as Duke. With the scope and scale of the G.I. Joe universe, there’s certainly plenty of characters to choose from and stories to work with, though removing certain big name ones could be a bit of a risk for the production. According to the Moviehole report, the casting call is out for a character called “Cross”, which they believe to be “Cross-Country,” who has had a good reputation over the years and is one from the early days.
