Production on the fifth movie installment for the Resident Evil series is moving right along and a bit of new casting news has surfaced as actress Sienna Guillory has confirmed she’ll be returning, presumably as Jill Valentine, for the next movie. The fourth movie landed with a $60 million budget and grossed just a hair under $300 million worldwide which makes these a no-brainer, and the last one ended with the intent to continue on. Before even adding in home video, streaming and other rights, the franchise has clocked in some serious theatrical numbers making it a very big guilty pleasure series for a lot of people.
Guillory let the world know of her casting, coming just a month after one of the films producer let it be known they’re working on the fifth, via twitter:
