With the recent casting of Christopher Egan as the lead in Poe, more news was bound to hit after that as supporting and key players are revealed that can play off of Egan with the right chemistry. Enter Natalie Dormer, who is taking the female lead for the series. Dormer is set to play the role of Celeste, “a beautiful spitfire, with a firm moral center – the logical yin to Poe’s wildly theoretical yang. She owns the newspaper for which Poe writes, having inherited it from her fiancé who died in mysterious circumstances,” according to the latest news out of Deadline Hollywood.
Dormer spent a few years playing the role of Anne Boleyn in The Tudors, and has a role in the upcoming Captain America: The First Avenger as well.
