Vin Diesel Talks Third ‘Riddick’ Feature

2 min read

With the third Riddick feature being planned out, Vin Diesel’s Facebook page updated with a just over two minute video with him and director David Twohy answering a question or two fans have had on said page about the movie. Vin Diesel is one of those actors that interacts with his fans a lot on his page and his page has, as of this writing, a hair under 21 million people following it.

In the video, Diesel grabs Twohy to explain some of what they’re looking to do with the movie, in addition to providing many beautiful women for Diesel to seduce. The thing that’s key for fans is that they’re wanting to make sure they get a movie in a similar way, but not the same, as the first one with its dark action and R rating.

Says Twohy, “It’s going to be a lot like Pitch Black because of the money involved.”

With the feature having a smaller production budget, it means they can do things their way more which allows them to pursue the rating they want.  “We want to maintain our R-rating, at any cost.” Vin Diesel himself added to this with, “We’re committed to going R.”

The feature also appears to have gained the title with it being called, The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking, according to Ace Showbiz.

Plot concept:

Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
