Ryan Reynolds Digs CGI Green Lantern Suit

2 min read

Fans haven’t been kind to the Green Lantern suit since it was introduced and the trailer in general has received a whole lot of grief. Empire Magazine managed to snag Reynolds for a bit and questions him on this since it’s been one of the biggest gripes in a sea of many gripes stemming from the trailer to see what he has to say about it.

“It’s not ‘The Dark Knight.’ I don’t put the suit on and my voice drops several octaves,” said Reynolds. “The suit is powered specifically on his will, his emotion, his creativity and his imagination. I love that.”

He added, “It has to be virtual rather than spandex. This is a suit from an alien planet.”

Plot summary: “In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.”
