Sony Pictures has announced the acquisition of rights for the Zombies Vs. Robots property, a comic book series by Chris Ryall and Ashley Wood, which came out a few years ago. Published by IDW Publishing, Deadline New York indicates that it will be a co-production between them, Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes and Circle of Confusion.
Plot concept: It started with a simple idea – mindless robots fighting rabid zombies, over the fate of the last living human baby. Then the war spread, and now it’s a three-way rumble as an island of surviving Amazons get tossed into the mix!
