Original anime works tend to catch a little more interest at times since there’s more surprises potentially in store. One new series now announced is the spring 2017 show Love Kome: We Love Rice. The project has debuted the first key visual to go along with the site launch and has revealed some details as well. The show will be directed by Takashi Horiuchi based on the original idea and scripts by Yuuki Takabayashi. Levin Aoi is on board with the character designs and it’s being animated at Encourage Films.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Chiharu Sawashiro as Nishiki Sasa
- Mark Ishii as Hikari Hino
Plot concept: The “heartwarming ‘kome’dy with laughter and passion” aims to let the viewers rediscover the goodness of rice; following five handsome rice-inspired boys as they shine at the Kokuritsu Inaho Gakuen’s “Harvest Show” live event.
