With twenty-two volumes of manga under its belt, we learned in December 2017 that the Kegan Ashura series is scheduled for an anime adaptation that’s coming in 2019. Netflix revealed earlier this summer when they launched their own page for it that they’d be handling distribution for it. Now, we’ve got some casting reveals below for it and the first formal key visual has landed as well that you can see to the right. Seiji Kishi is on board to direct it based on the series composition by Makoto Uezu. Kazuaki Morita is handling the character designs while Larx Entertainment is handling the animation production.
The newly announced cast includes:
- Hayato Kaneko as Rihito
- Tetsu Inada as Jun Sekibayashi
- Junya Enoki as Cosmo Imai
- Daisuke Namikawa as Setsuna Kiryū
The original work comes from writer Yabako Sandrovich with artwork by Daromeon which began in Ura Sunday magazine back in 2012 and has been pretty popular there, including previously winning a fan vote contest to get an anime adaptation.
